Flexible circuit-loop antennas for medical devices resist detuning
Made from a special flexible polymer material and specifically designed for medical monitoring devices, the FLA.01 circuit loop antenna is said to be the first flexible circuit loop antenna able to achieve high performance and reliable wireless connections.
Unlike the materials traditionally used in antennas, such as FR4 or metal, the polymer prevents the electromagnetic nearfield of the antennas to be less affected by factors that often cause detuning, such as the human body, emissions, noise, and radiation from the medical device.
The antenna’s penta-band cellular antenna technology can be applied to any frequency, including license-free bands such as 433, 868, and 915 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and higher. The antennas can conform to any shape or size, an advantage for a variety of medical devices. (Contact Dermot O’Shea for pricing and availability.)
