Industrial dc/dc plug-in converter delivers 1,500 W
The BKP 419-EH industrial-quality dc/dc plug-in converter generates up to 1,500-W output power. The air-convection-cooled version generates 1,000 W, and the forced-air cooling via system fans generates up to 1,500 W. It features heat-generating components installed on aluminum heat sink blocks that are connected to the heat sink fins on the side of the module.
The compact plug-in module measures 4U x 16HP x 12–in. and is typically used in 19-in. rackmount applications. The standard version of this plug-in module operates from a 125-Vdc (105 to 140-Vdc range) line voltage and delivers a single output of either 24 or 48 Vdc. A built-in redundancy diode allows for parallel connection or n+1 redundant operation, including hot insertion. The front panel of the module has an output voltage-on LED indicator, voltage adjustment potentiometer, and test points. The module meets IEC 61371 Categories 1 A and B shock-and-vibration standards, and has input and output filtering in compliance with EN55022 EMI standards.
