High-quality cable/connectors optimize home theaters
PPC Products (East Syracuse, NY) introduced the Perfect Path line of A/V cables and interconnects at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Among the range of high-quality consumer A/V products the company presented were a couple of true 75-Ω connectors — which may not be the most glorious of the line, but they certainly serve an important purpose!
The Perfect Path F-Type coaxial cable interconnects complement the Perfect Flex Line of broadband coaxial cables (which offer electrical performance up to 3 GHz, as well as microcrack resistance). The F-Type connectors feature an oversized locking nut for tool-free installation, as well as an easily seen indicator that shows users exactly when the optimal connection has been achieved for a good signal, so the connection is neither too tight nor too loose.
PPC also presented the Perfect Path PRCA Locking Cable, featuring a locking RCA connector that offers performance through the port. The rugged, all-brass connector is designed to allow the outer body to turn. When turned clockwise, an active wedge inside the connector causes the outer ground shield to lock down on the port for increased retention. This secure the connection to RCA ports of any size with only a quarter turn, and also eliminates the need for soldering. The connector is also easily removed — requiring only a counterclockwise turn.
