Well suited for satellite communication and microwave radio applications, the SFS1609A-LF in L-band is a single-frequency synthesizer that operates at 1,609 MHz. Features include a typical phase noise of –95 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset, typical sideband spurs of –70 dBc, and a typical 2nd harmonic suppression of –15 dBc.

Housed in a standard 0.60 x 0.60 x 0.13-in. PLL-V12N package, the part is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6 dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5 Vdc while drawing 35 mA typ and a phase-locked loop voltage of 3 Vdc while drawing 9 mA typ over –40° to 85°C.
