GPS receiver targets mobile devices

The BCM4751 GPS receiver is a single chip device used for tracking and navigation, primarily in mobile devices. Its massively parallel, hardware correlator architecture provides faster signal searches, accurate real-time navigation, and improved tracking sensitivity. It is a 65-nm CMOS device that integrates an RF and baseband processor.

In addition it supports satellite constellations including the Satellite Based Augmentation System and the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System for Japanese applications, making as many as 12 additional satellites available for use in navigation. Offered in both wafer-level ball-grid array (WLBGA) and fine-pitch ball-grid array (FPBGA) packages, the BCM4751 provides a complete PCB footprint of 30 mm2 including bandpass filter, TCXO, and passives. The BCM4751 GPS receiver also includes software that is optimized for cellular integration and the demands of international standards bodies such as 3GPP, GERAN, and OMA (Call company for pricing — available now.)
