Deserializer bridge IC handles mobile displays

The TC358762XBG deserializer bridge chip targets high-resolution HVGA, VGA, WVGA, qHD, and XGA display panels in handheld devices and supports video input frame rates of up to 60 frames/s for XGA and 30 freames/s for 720P. It uses a dual-lane DSI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface-Display Serial Interface) supporting data rates of up to 800 Mbits/s per lane for total data bandwidth of 1.6 Gbits/s.

The chip’s DPI host bus has a burst rate of up to 70 MHz. The device can also be used to connect pico projectors for digital projector applications in mobile devices. It comes in a P-VFBGA64 5 x 5-mm package. ($1.50 ea/10,000 — samples available now.)
