Power film caps offer voltages to 1,300 Vdc

The recently expanded Type 947C high-current power film capacitor series includes over 120 different ratings with voltages up to 1,300 Vdc and values of 1,500 µF at 800 V, 1,200 µF at 900 V, 970 µF at 1,000 V, 800 µF at 1,100 V, 600 µF at 1,200 V, and 560 µF at 1,300 V.

The capacitors offer ripple current ratings to 100 A at 55°C, with tolerances to ±10% and operating temperature range from –40° to 85°C. Standard and special current ratings are available. The capacitors are housed in 85-, 90-, and 116-mm-diameter aluminum cylinders with lengths of 85, 97, 120, 145, and 170 mm, and options for M5 or M6 threaded insert terminals, or M8 threaded stud-top terminals.
