Battery holder features sliding covers, switch
Suited for industrial, automotive, and consumer applications, the BK-6049 AA battery holder features a built-in, 0.5-A-rated recessed sliding switch to prevent accidental activations. The holder also has dual sliding covers with snap-locking tabs for quick battery changes without tools.
The part offers up to 12 V output holding 8 AA alkaline batteries, or 9.6 V for rechargeable batteries. The operating temperature is 40° to 180°C. Springs and contacts are nickel-plated steel, and 18-gauge wires meet UL2468 specifications. ($3.70 each/1,000 available now.)
