ARM 9-based MPUs offer mix of I/O types

The Sitara family AM1808, AM1806, AM1707, and AM1705 microcontrollers feature an ARM 9 32-bit processor core. The devices provide a wealth of I/O, with SATA, universal parallel port, LCD control, USB 2.0 OTG, and CAN interfaces, along with a 10/100 Ethernet MAC.

The chips’ programmable real-time unit (PRU) offers flexible and configurable I/O control, enabling developers to extend peripheral capabilities and offload the CPU from many I/O tasks.
