PoE switch powers four IEEE802.3af devices

The POE60S-4AF extender is a four-port PoE extender that accepts ultrapower PoE and extends the reach of data and PoE to 200 m, doubling the cabling distance available for remotely powering security cameras, wireless networks, and access controllers. The PoE switch suits security system applications because it allows four IEEE802.3af devices to be powered over a single Cat5 cable without having to add remote power.

The PoE extender is powered by 60 W, provides four 10/100 switch ports with each port offering 15.4 W of power. Four security cameras can be plugged into the extender’s four ports, with cables up to 100 m. The extender’s switch port is then connected to an Ultra PoE midspan with another 100-m cable, without additional power outlets or dc cabling. (From $542.80 each – available now.)
