Stratix V FPGAs reach new performance highs

The Stratix V FPGA family is built on a 28-nm HKMG process and has the industry’s highest bandwidth, offering up to 1.6-Tbit/s total serial switching capability. The devices feature transceivers operating up to 28 Gbits/s, up to 1.1 million logic elements, and up to 53 Mbits of RAM.

The ICs also feature variable-precision DSPs with up to 3,680 18 x 18 multipliers, 12.5-Gbit/s backplane, and 28-Gbit/s chip-to-chip communication, and up to 7 x 72-bit 1,600-Mbit/s DDR3 interfaces. The devices come in GT, GS, GX, and E versions and can now have an embedded hardcopy block with up to 700K equivalent LEs. (Pricing not set at press time — available 1st qtr 2011.)
