The Power SIP family of nonisolated dc/dc converters now offers 20-, 40-, 50-, 60-, and 80-A modules. They operate at efficiencies of up to 94% over an input range from 4.5 to 13.8 V, and an output voltage trim range of 0.59 to 5.1 Vdc. The devices have an active-high and true active-high enable logic, and feature an integrated heat sink.
The converters an extensive range of PC board mounted power applications that need a small footprint. They suit 12- or 5-V input distributed power architecture systems, as well as data and enterprise networks. The modules switch at a fixed frequency from 250 to 500 kHz, module dependent. Control and protection features include input undervoltage lockout, output overcurrent, and short-circuit protection.
