Low-power 8-bit MCUs operate at 1.8 to 5.5 V

The PIC18F K90 8-bit microcontroller family combines low-power, 1.8 to 5.5 V operation, a 16 or 24 channel 12-bit A/D converter, and a LCD driver module. The chips also feature 24 channels of mTouch capacitive touch sensing, an RTC, and eight to ten capture/compare/PWM modules.

Sleep-mode current is 500 nA max at 25°C/1.8 V, and wakeup is just 2 µs typ. Supply current is a maximum of 850 µA at 1.8 V/1 MHz. They come in 64- and 80-pin packages, with 32 to 128 Kbytes of flash, up to 4 Kbytes of RAM, and 1 Kbyte of EEPROM. (From $2.42 ea/10,000 — available now.)
