CRO maximizes performance, efficiency

The CVCO55CXT-5800-5800 coaxial resonator oscillator (CRO) employs frequency doubling, 2X fundamental technology to reach new performance levels. It exhibits an output power of 3 dBm typ into a 50-Ω load with a supply of 8.0 Vdc and a typical current consumption of 35 mA. The device operates at 5,800 MHz with a tuning-voltage range of 0.5 Vdc to 4.5 Vdc.

This coaxial VCO features a typical phase noise of –100 dBc/Hz at 10-kHz offset. Pulling and pushing are both minimized to 1.0 MHz and 3.0 MHz/V, respectively. Second-harmonic suppression is –30 dBc typ. The device comes in an industry-standard 0.5 x 0.5-in. SMt package. (Call company for pricing — available now.)
