USB 3.0 connectors are super-fast, backward compatible
The KUSBX-xx1N9 series USB 3.0 connectors, aka SuperSpeed USB, support data transfer rates of up to 10 x faster than the USB 2.0 version and are backward compatible with existing devices. The series has a full duplex configuration and offers Type-A and Type-B through-hole shield receptacles, both featuring the USB 3.0 blue insulator.
The connectors offer a 1.8 A current rating, with a minimum 100 mΩ insulation resistance, maximum 50 mΩ contact resistance and a 100 Vac M dielectric withstanding voltage. Maximum insertion force is 2.5 Kg, withdrawal force is 1.0 to 2.5 Kg, operating temperatures are –40° to 85°C and durability to 1,500 cycles.
The series complies with USB-IF 3.0 specifications, allowing product interoperability with existing USB 2.0 products, but also allows users full duplex arrangement data flow. The devices will enhance any device that is optimized at higher speed data transfer such as high-resolution webcams, video surveillance cameras, digital video cameras, and external media such as Blu-Ray drives.
