USB switch solution integrates USB switch and headphone amp
The FSA2000 USB switch solution is claimed to be the first to integrate both a USB switch and a Class AB cap-free headphone amplifier; current solutions rely on the use of several discrete components such as a USB switch, two large 220-µF capacitors and an external headphone amplifier. This switch complies with USB 2.0 Full Speed (FS) and Hi-Speed (HS). It can also auto-switch to USB when VBUS is present. During this process, the switch does not need to power up the headphone amplifier, saving power and conserving device battery life.
Features include an amplifier gain of 0 dB, a THD+N of 0.1%, an SNR of 90 dB, a PSRR of 95 dB, and a VCC from 2.7 to 4.3 V. ICC audio is 3 mA, and ICC USB is 6 µA. Housed in a 16-lead UMLP package, the part also complies with USB2.0 FS/HS with bandwidths in excess of 720 MHz. ($0.70 ea/1,000 samples available now.)
