Microcontrollers use 1-GHz ARM Cortex-A8

The AM3715 and AM3703 Sitara microprocessors use a 1-GHz ARM Cortex-A8 with Neon coprocessor, delivering 2,000-DMIPS performance. The AM3703 can be used for applications not requiring graphics, while the AM3715 has a graphics accelerator that enables fluid, complex 3D rendering with double the graphics performance over previous Sitara devices.

Microcontrollers use 1-GHz ARM Cortex-A8

The MCUs core delivers 2000 DMIPs at 1 GHz, have an SDRAM controller, and are compatible with the OMAP 3 architecture. They feature high-speed USB-2, Infrared, amd I2C Interfaces and come in s-PBGA515 or s-PBGA 423 packages. (AM3715, $26; AM3703, $22.50 ea/1,000 — available now.)
