The FT8010 reset timer targets cell phone designs that need to reset the hardware when the device locks up, without having to remove the battery. The IC offers reset at the touch of a designated keypad function with 7.5- and 11.5-s reset options to avoid unintended resets caused by accidental key presses.
The 2.0 x 2.0-mm MLP or 1.4 x 1.8-mm Ultrathin MLP-packaged chip has two identical reset inputs for single- or dual-button reset. It has 0.5-mA push-pull and open-drain outputs and functions over 2.0 to 5.0 V. ($0.30 — 8 weeks ARO.)
