Converters feature 2:1 input ranges

The TMJ series dc/dc converters offer 25 to 30-W output power in an industry-standard 2 x 1-in. package with input ranges from 18 to 36 Vdc and 36 to 72 Vdc. Output voltages range from 2.5 to 15 Vdc. The lower output voltages of 2.5, 3.3, 5, and 5.1 use synchronous rectification to achieve efficiencies of 88%. The series has input undervoltage and overvoltage protection.

The operating ambient temperature range is 40 to 50C with no derating. The non-derated temperature range can be extended to 60C ambient with an optional heat sink. The unit is encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in an anodized aluminum case. The case also has six sided shielding and is CSA 60950 approved.
