IC combo targets high-performance TVs

The FLI7540 high-performance TV SOC provides a 1,700+-DMIPS CPU with 256 Kbytes of Level 2 cache and a 3D graphics accelerator and is compatible with worldwide DTT standards. The FLI2520 video-enhancement IC provides 2D/3D at 200/240 Hz with advanced MCTi motion judder and blur reduction, plus 240-Hz LED backlight adaptive local dimming and 480-Hz backlight scanning.

The FLI7540 uses dual 450 MHz ST231 cores for advanced multichannel audio decoding and has 14-bit advanced color management with a 48-bit DDR2/DDR3 memory interface. The FaroudjaT FLI2520 has a royalty-free VESA interconnect standard internal DisplayPort output to the panel timing controller for reduced BOM cost and can yield dramatically reduced TV power consumption.
