24 MHz 32-bit MCU is cost effective

The STM32F100xx Value Line 32-bit microcontroller is based on a 24 MHZ Cortex-M core and has 256 to 512 Kbytes flash and 24 to 32 Kbytes of SRAM. The MCU also has an external memory interface, which can address numerous types of external code or data memory. The interface also supports a parallel interface mode for LCD screens with embedded controllers.

The chip features up to seven PWM 16-bit timers including an advanced control timer for a total of 26 channels, three independent PWM 16-bit timers with complementary output and dead-time generation, a 12-bit dual channel DAC with DMA support and output buffers, and a Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) peripheral. It comes in LQFP64 or LQFP144 packages. ($2.18 to $4.33 ea/10,000 — samples available now.)
