XP Power today announced the HCP series of single-output compact bulk power ac/dc power supplies aimed at process control, factory automation, and manufacturing equipment applications. They feature 91% efficiency offer 650-W and 1-kW versions, which are less than 1U high, and 1.5- and 3-kW units.
The bulk supplies provide output voltages from 12 to 48 Vdc. An output voltage trim capability allows adjustment of 30% to 105% of nominal output voltage. A similar function provides adjustment of current output from 40% to 105% of maximum current. A 5-Vdc 0.5-A standby supply can drive logic or control circuits.
