XMC module mates Virtex-5 FPGA, PCIe

The XMC-VLX mezzanine module features a configurable Virtex-5 FPGA, multiple high-speed memory buffers, and a PCIe interface with four lanes and large data buffers. The XMC format card can be ordered with a VLX85T, VLX110T, or VLX155T FPGA with up to 155,000 logic cells and 128 DSP48E slices.

Before FPGA processing, 32-M x 32-bit DDR2 SDRAM buffers store captured data and then data is moved to the 1-M x 64-bit dual-ported SRAM for high-speed DMA transfer to the bus or CPU. Additional I/O processing is supported on a separate mezzanine card, including 14-bit 105-MHz A/D conversion, CMOS digital I/O, RS-485 signals, or extra LVDS I/O lines. Operation from –40° to 85°C is optional. (From $5,750 — 4 to 8 week delivery.)
