Targeting next-generation 100- and 400-Gbit/s systems, the Virtex-7 HT FPGA family has 4 to 16 28-Gbit/s transceivers, and 24 to 72 13-Gbit/s transceivers. The ICs operate from a 1-V supply and have up to 258 Mbits of configuration memory.
The three versions of the high-speed chips have 288,000 to 864,000 logic cells and 21,600 to 64,800 bits of block RAM, total. Design Suite software tools are available now. (Price not determined at press time — available first half 2012.)
