Thin-film cooler suits high-heat apps

The eTEC HV56 module is a high-voltage thin-film thermoelectric cooler (TEC) that targets electronics cooling applications. At 85°C, it can pump 6 W or 58 W/cm2 of heat in a 11 mm2 footprint. The device is only 0.6mm high, making it the thinnest, highest-heat-pumping TEC on the market today.

At 85°C, the high-voltage TEC operates at a maximum voltage of 10.8 V with a temperature differential of 60°C. At 25°C, it has a 50°C differential with a maximum voltage of 8.8 V. RoHS compliant, it is manufactured using gold-tin (AuSn) solder, which enables assembly temperatures as high as 320°C. (Contact info@nextreme.com for price and availability.)
