I2C multiplexers come in two or four channels

The LTC4312 two-channel and LTC4314 four-channel pin-selectable I2 C multiplexers feature bus buffers that improve signal integrity. The chips bidirectional capacitive buffering allows extension of the I2 C bus size well beyond the 400-pF specification and prevents signal corruption during live board insertion or removal.

The devices support level translation for bus voltages ranging from 1.5 to 5.5 V, and the chips’ adjustable rise-time accelerators provide strong pull-up currents on SCL and SDA rising edges to meet rise-time specifications on heavily loaded buses. The LTC4312 is available in 4 x 3-mm DFN14 and SSOP16 packages, and the LTC4314 comes in 3 x 4-mm QFN20 and SSOP20 packages in commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
