Pushbutton switch meets TSI-PRM standard

A new switch is added to the Series 56 pushbutton switches which features symbols that are raised more than 1 mm from the surface and are larger than 15 mm wide, for improved usability and visibility for disabled passengers. It also features a brightly lit and highly recognizable “Door open” or “Door close” symbol to aid passengers finding the door control more easily. Along with other Series 56 switches, this switch meets European Technical Specifications of Interoperability for Persons with Reduced Mobility (TSI-PRM) standards and increases passenger awareness by heightened visual indication when used with other ADA components.

A large thermoplastic bezel (with optional Braille legends) available in many colors is fitted around the actuator to provide visual contrast with the surface on which it is mounted. The RoHS-compliant switches meet many of the required international electrical standards and are environmentally sealed to IP67 at the front and to IP65 in the rear of the switch, (Contact company for pricing and availability,)
