Intended for consumer digital video applications, the 3-Mpixel AR0330 image sensor with support for electronic image stabilization (EIS) can work in any HD video mode (1080p60, 1080p30, or 720p60) without losing field of view. The device delivers excellent low-light performance.
Based on a new 2.2-μm pixel design and A-Pix pixel technology, the 1/3.2-in. format sensor captures full HD video at 60 fps and, with its 3 x 3 binning mode, also supports WVGA at 120 and 240 fps for slo-mo video. The imager’s multi-aspect-ratio capability lets it capture a 3.2-Mpixel still images too. Multiple serial interface options, including four-lane HiSPi and MIPI, are supported, and the chip is offered as a bare die or in CSP (6.28 x 6.65-mm) or ceramic LCC packages.
