Consumer video design kit aids innovation

The FPGA Consumer Video Kit 2.0 supports the latest serial digital TV interfaces, including DisplayPort 1.1a, V-by-One®HS, HDMI 1.4a (now with 3DTV) and LVDS of up to 1.05 Gbits/s. The kits’s Spartan-6 FPGA allows designers to simulate video algorithms in silicon and then move into production without having to worry about coding a video interface infrastructure.

The kit features new power-management modules from Texas Instruments and DDR3 memory for frame buffering with memory bus increased from 32 to 48 bits. The kit includes Spartan-6 LX150T-based evaluation board with 4 FMC connectors, LVDS daughtercard, V-by-One HS daughtercard, DisplayPort daughtercard, HDMI 1.3 daughtercard. power supply and cables, USB download cable, various video IP and reference designs.
