Positioning rx works on multiple constellations

The Teseo II positioning receiver devices, consisting of the STA8088EX, are offered as the first monolithic devices capable of receiving signals from multiple satellite navigation systems, including GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, and QZSS. They provide the ability to acquire the position, velocity, and time data from these navigation systems, which greatly improve the user position accuracy and navigation in poor satellite visibility conditions, such as in urban canyons.

The Teseo II chips also offer exceptionally short signal-acquisition times (Time To First Fix-TTFF), leveraging ST’s own Self-Trained Assisted GPST technology, which improves the startup performance of a positioning device in difficult signal conditions. It also integrates a powerful ARM9 core for on-chip data processing. They address a wide range of consumer and automotive applications, and some versions are qualified to AEC-Q100. The STA8088EX features –162-dBm indoor sensitivity (tracking mode) and a fast TTFF of less than 1 s in hot start and 35 s in cold start.
