The Z16FMC series flash MCU targets motor control using its flexible PWM module with three complementary-pair outputs that support deadband operation and fault protection trip input. The 16-bit MCU has up to 128 Kbytes of flash and provides multiphase control capability for a variety of motor types and can ensure safe operation using pulse-by-pulse or latched fast shutdown.
The MCU features 20 MIPS throughput at 20 MHz, up to twelve single-ended channels of 10-bit 2.5-µs A/D conversion with a sample-and-hold and operational amplifier for current sampling and a comparator for overcurrent limiting or shutdown. It provides 9-bit UART, LIN and IrDA, I2C, ESPI communication interfaces and optional –40° to 105°C operation. ($3.55 ea/1,000 — available now.)
