Benefiting mostly transportation, mechanical engineering, and process automation applications, the series 04 PIT push-in terminal features a Phoenix Contact spring terminal connection, which reduces assembly time by up to 70% compared to traditional screw terminals. It accepts wire sizes from 16 to 26 AWG, offers protection against contact according to the IP 20 standard, and a mechanical lifetime rating of up to 3 million operations. The cable connection is accomplished without any tools (one only needs to push the stripped wire-end into the spring terminal).
The EAO Series 04 has been upgraded with the following three products with push in terminal technology: a snap-action switch element (gold/silver), a slow-make element (gold/silver), and a lamp block. It offers front protection to IP65 and is rated up to 500 Vac. In addition, it fits into 22.5-mm mounting holes for standard raised mounting applications or 30.5-mm round and square cut-outs for flush mounting. Operating range is –25° to 55°C.
