Direct-mold motor run capacitors save space

The MotorCap DM series motor run capacitors feature windings that are directly molded in plastic, allowing for overall dimensions between 24 x 43 mm and 29 x 43 mm (diameter x length). The devices are also up to 44% smaller in volume compared to conventional versions. The capacitors are designed for 250 Vac with values of 10 to 15 µF or 450 Vac with values of 1.2 to 6 µF and feature a 10,000-hour operating life over a range of –25° to 85°C.

All types in series are UL-approved, available in safety classes P0 and P2 and feature self-healing windings. The capacitors are available with fast-on terminals (B32318A*, B32358A*) or wire terminals (B32317A*, B32357A*). (From $0.60 to $1.20 each available now.)
