PWM controller offers less-than-10-mW standby power

The PWM controller integrates a 500-V JFET and allows the device to cut off the current path after the device is turned on, reducing startup losses. The patented constant current control topology enables simplified circuit design without secondary constant current feedback circuitry. It provides features to enhance the performance of general flyback converters, offers several protection features including cycle-to-cycle current limiting. The gate output is clamped at 15 V to protect the power MOSFET from high gate-source voltage damages. ($0.50 ea/1,000 — available now.)
