Triple-output converter suits railway apps

The DCW 153R series is a triple-output railway-quality dc/dc converter that uses high-efficiency power conversion topology to deliver 100-W output power. It suits railway, mobile and other severe environment applications. The converter provides 24 Vdc/2 A (main), 12 Vdc/2 A (V2) and 5.1 Vdc/4 A (V3). All outputs are regulated, floating and isolated from each other; have 1,000-V isolation between the outputs and 3,000-Vdc input-to-output isolation. Nominal input voltages are 24 Vdc (15 to 34 V range), 48 Vdc (29 to 67-V range), 72 Vdc (43 to 101-V range), 96 Vdc (58 to 135-V range) or 110 Vdc (66 to 154-V range), in compliance with EN50155.

The triple output dc/dc converter meets all relevant standards for electronic equipment used on railway rolling stock and operates at full specification over a 25 to 55C cold-plate temperature range. Cooling is by conduction to customer heat sink or chassis and by natural convection. The converter is housed in a vented enclosure that measures 114 x 58 x 256 mm. Environmental protection includes a conformal coating, and meets EN61373/IEC61373 shock and vibration standards. ($197 ea/100 available now.)
