L-com Named Finalist in 2011 American Business Awards (Stevie Awards) for its Website

NORTH ANDOVER, MA –05/17/2011 – L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, has been named a finalist in the Computer Hardware category of the Stevie Awards for its ecommerce website, www.L-com.com. The news came in an announcement by the American Business Awards on May 12th. L-com received the finalist status in the awards because of the high average scores it received during the more than five weeks of preliminary judging.

“It’s good to receive a nod from such a prestigious awards organization,” said Chris Long, SVP of Marketing. “It shows that our hard work providing quality content to our customers does not go unrecognized.”

The 9th annual Stevie Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, June 20, at which L-com will learn if it has won a Stevie Award for its website.

L-com previously won a Stevie Award in February for its customer service department.

The ABA and Stevie Award

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 2,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and from various industries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 40 categories and finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide.

The Stevie Awards honors organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them and recognizes outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide. Winners of the Stevie Awards will be selected from among the ABA Finalists in each category by members of 10 specialized final judging committees and Stevie Awards will be presented on June 20 in New York City. More than six-hundred executives from across the U.S.A. are expected to attend. The event will benefit Camfed (camfed.org), which fights poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa by educating girls and empowering women to become leaders of change. The ceremonies will be broadcast on radio nationwide by the Business TalkRadio Network.
