Quadrature modulator suits 3G/4G basestations
Supporting 3G and 4G basestations, the SKY73077, SKY73078, and the SKY73092 family of broadband quadrature modulators operate from 1,500 to 2,700 MHz, 500 to 1,500 MHz, and 400 to 6,000 MHz, respectively. The SKY73077 and SKY73078 have a 0.1-dB bandwidth of greater than 65 MHz.
The modulators accept two differential baseband inputs and a single-ended LO, and generate a single-ended RF output. The baseband input buffers accept an input common-mode voltage of 0.5 V. The LO input is broadband-matched on-chip to 50 Ω. Housed in 24-pin QFN packages, the parts offer a noise floor of greater than –158 dBM/Hz and operate from 4.75 to 5.25 V.
