Audio SoC targets smart TV apps

The CX20708 audio SoC targets home telepresence and speech recognition applications and is ideally suited for next generation smart TV and video game console applications. This highly integrated SoC features a high-fidelity 16-bit ADC, a configurable microphone pre-amp (up to 40 dB), asynchronous sample-rate-converter, sync buffer, and digital signal processor.

Features include super wideband voice processing algorithms (enabling higher performance voice quality), I2 S/USB interface, and sub-band acoustic echo cancellation. Housed in a 9 x 9-mm 76-pin QFN package, the device provides an audio sample rate of 8, 16, 24, 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz. In addition, the CX20708 is a “Skype TV Certified” audio component, which ensures that the chip meets Skype’s stringent performance and quality specifications including high speech-to-noise ratio, Mean Opinion Score (MOS) for natural voice, and long distance voice pick-up of up to five meters in distance.
