Scalable spring fingers increase contact force
Available in heights from 1.8 to 3.4 mm, a family of spring fingers mounts onto a single footprint for easy design-change swap. A preload function nearly doubles the working area of a common spring feature, increasing contact force by 0.2 N. Designed to increase ease of use, the product features a dimple on the contact for reliability, a backward-bended tip that prevents hooking, holes to increase soldering strength, and a pick-and-place area that supports automated assembly processes.
Used for such applications as mobile devices, personal computing, home entertainment, and industrial equipment, the fingers require limited pc-board space and support soldering and pick and place using standard equipment. Four styles are available in a variety of heights and widths. (Contact company for price and availability.)
