Power inductor is 0.7-mm thin

Measuring 1.6 x 0.8 mm with a maximum height of 0.7 mm, the BRL1608 wirewound power inductor is said to feature an industry-leading thinness of 0.7 mm and a reduction in height by 30% over previous such devices. A second device, the BRL2012, measures 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm, has a maximum height of 1.4 mm, and delivers an approximate 42% reduction in volume ratio size and approximately 29% lower dc resistance than previous products.

Applications include dc/dc converter applications in smartphones, cell phones, digital still cameras, and other compact mobile devices. (Samples,$0.20 each — available now.)
