BGA-packaged SSDs are the smallest around

The GLS85LS SATA-interface SSD modules have capacities of 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 Gbytes — all with the same pinout. The 14 x 24 x 1.95-mm 145-ball BGA-packaged devices are one of the smallest SSDs available.

The drives’ active-mode power consumption is as low as 335 mW, idle mode is 210 mW typ, and deep power-down mode is just 10 mW typ. The units have unique device ID, password protection, and four independent zones. Read performance is up to 110 Mbytes/s and industrial temperature range is optional.
