LED driver converts 480 Vac to 57 Vdc in one step
The LXMG221D-0700040-D2F LED driver targets North American streetlight installations. It eliminates step-down transformers typically used in streetlight fixtures, providing a single-step conversion from 347 or 480 Vac down 40 to 57 Vdc as is typically required by LED fixtures. It allows manufacturers to design lighter fixtures, which can lower product development and transportation costs.
The driver features integrated fault detection and management functionality, allowing operators to quickly address light fixture failures. It suits constant-current single 700-mA string applications using 12 to 17 LEDs without flickering (up to 40W output). The driver has a power factor is >0.9 and <15% total harmonic distortion across the input voltage range at full load and is dimmable to 10% via 0 to 10-V PWM controls or potentiometers.
