The NI PXIe-8364 and -8374 remote-control modules let engineers interface multiple PXI Express chassis directly to a single host computer using any expansion topology, eliminating the need for complex custom solutions. By simplifying interconnection, the modules increase the efficiency of test system configuration in high-channel-count data acquisition and high-speed automated test applications, including RF and semiconductor test.
The modules support complex star, line, or tree complex topologies, using cabled x1 (8364) or x4 (8374) MXI-Express links to provide 250-Mbyte/s and 1-Gbyte/s maximum data rates, respectively. All PXI modules in the downstream chassis appear as local devices in the upstream chassis and, since MXI-Express links are software transparent, no additional programming is required.
