IC includes wireless tx and XLP 8-bit MCU

Suited for a broad range of remote-access applications, the PIC12LF1840T48A single-chip device integrates an eXtreme Low Power (XLP) 8-bit PIC microcontroller, a 418/434/868-MHz RF transmitter, and the company’s KEELOQ advanced code-hopping technology. Designed to maximize battery life via a low operating voltage of 1.8 V, the device features a standby current of 590 nA, an operating current (not transmitting) of 34.5 µA at 1 MHz, and a transmitting current of 9 mA at 0 dBm and 16.6 mA at 10 dBm.

In addition, the IC offers a high-performance RISC CPU and a flexible oscillator structure. Analog features include an ADC module (10-bit res, 4-ch), an analog comparator module, and voltage reference module (FVR with 1.024- and 2.048-V output levels). Housed in a 14-pin TSSOP package, the device also consists of peripheral features, such as five I/O pins and one input only pin, and an 8-bit timer/counter with 8-bit prescaler.
