The STOD13AS dual dc/dc converter targets AMOLED display panels. The device integrates a step-up and an inverting dc/dc converter, making it suitable for battery operated products. It works in the pulse skipping mode during low load conditions and PWM-MODE at 1.5 MHz for medium/high load conditions.
The dc/dc converter features a 2.5 to 4.5–V input voltage, 4.6–V fixed positive output voltage, a minimum 250–mA output current, and a programmable negative voltage from –2.4 to –6.4 in 100–mV steps. The enable pin allows the device to be turned off, reducing the current consumption to less than 1 µA. The device also offers soft-start with controlled inrush current limit, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection. (Contact company for price and availability.)
