The DS4000 digital oscilloscope series consists of eight models with 2 or 4 analog channels, bandwidths of 100, 200, 350, or 500 MHz, and sample rates to 4 Gsamples/s. The instruments are said to offer feature sets unmatched by others in this class of scopes and at a fraction of their cost.

The oscilloscopes have a 140-Mpoint memory and can capture 110,000 waveforms/s. Further, they let users search and navigate within up to 200,000 triggered waveforms with mask tests. Waveforms are displayed on a 9-in. WVGA LCD with intensity grading. The scopes permit real-time waveform recording and replay, with customizable real-time hardware filters available.
