The V850E2/PJ4 128-MHz, 32-bit microcontroller features a resolver sensor interface and targets automotive control systems including motor control for hybrid electric vehicles/electric vehicles. The chip also features dual-core lock-step operation for safety critical applications to ISO 26262.
An excitation signal generating function for the resolver sensor is also built-in, along with dual timers, 1 Mbyte of ROM, and 80 Kbytes of RAM, and an 8-Kbyte two-way associative cache. It comes in a 144-pin HLQFP package and has dual timers, a 10/12-bit A/D converter with S/H, a DMA controller, and RAM ECC. ($60 ea/single — available April.)
