The next generation EH4205 low-voltage booster module is a self-powered, self-starting module that converts very low power or voltage to higher dc- or ac-voltage. The module requires no external power source or battery to operate. It uses a hibernating function that puts it in a zero-power state, until the input of the connected energy source becomes active, causing the product to start up, accumulate energy, and function as long as the source is active.
The booster module harnesses energy from 75–mV to +4–V sources. It draws input power from as low as 230 µW enabling energy harvesting of energy sources including electro-magnetic coils and thermoelectric energy generators. The module has a nominal input impedance of 50 Ω, a power efficiency of 52%, and an operating temperature range from 0° to 70°C. ($40 ea — available now.)
