Voltage comparators boast industry’s lowest current consumption

Addressing the demand for greater power efficiency and longer battery life in today’s portable electronics applications, the TS33 general-purpose voltage comparator is claimed to consume one third the current for the same response time, compared with currently available devices such as the LMV331. The device achieves a propagation delay of 200 ns while consuming only 30 µA of supply current, which is 66% lower than other solutions in the market.

The comparator delivers a stable response time over a wide temperature range, from 40 to 125C, and offers superior ESD capabilities. It also integrates an open-drain output and rail-to-rail inputs with the market’s widest operating voltage range, from 1.6 to 5 V — enabling the integration of the comparator in 1.8, 3, and 5-V systems.
