SSD IC uses SLC NAND & SATA interface

The eSSD series of SSD ICs provides 1 to 4 Gbytes of flash in a 17 x 17 mm 208-ball BGA package. The device has an SSD controller with high-endurance SLC NAND type flash in a single package, along with a 3 Gbit/s SATA interface.

The devices data is automatically encrypted using AES 128-bit. The IC supports read access at up to 55 Mbytes/s and write access up to 30 Mbytes/s. It has 15-bit error correction and the 4 Gbyte type, for example, supports 786 M rewrite cycles. (Price not available — contact company for delivery.)
